Authorization Redesign With XAMS
Get an overview of the changes and innovations in the context of SAP S/4HANA in the authorization environment.
“Simplification” and “Principle of One” are terms that are often associated with the introduction of SAP S/4HANA. Fiori applications should enable the user to work more intuitively, and a decimated number of transactions should provide a better overview. This approach seems coherent but implies an immense influence on the existing role concept and its authorizations. The upcoming changes and the associated necessary effort are difficult to estimate for many companies.
Migration of Authorizations
While performing an S/4HANA migration, many companies take up the topic of authorizations. Often, old role concepts cannot be migrated at all, or only with considerable effort, due to the changed approach. During the workshop, topics regarding the upcoming migration will be discussed and explained. We will show different scenarios, and discuss possibilities for how a new authorization concept can be developed with both a greenfield and a brownfield approach. In addition, we will illustrate how our in-house software XAMS (Xiting Authorizations Management Suite) can be of use before and during a project.
At the end of the workshop, you will get an overview of what an S/4HANA implementation means for your company and how these changes and innovations will affect your current authorization concept.
