Xiting Fiori UI for SAP IDM: New features with SP3!

At the beginning of the new year, we released Service Pack 3 of our Xiting Fiori UI for SAP IDM (XIFI). Below, we will introduce you to some of the new features and improvements.

Extension Points

You now have the option to store your own existing apps in the start menu of the XIFI app. Our service now also offers you a central entry point to other own applications. You can still import all new releases of XIFI, and you still have a Fiori menu that is individually adapted for you.

The following figure (Figure 1) shows you a comparison of the menu with an extension point (report) as an example (as well as without one). Any other menu items can be added via the extension points, without having to adapt the standard of the XIFI app!

Application Details

The To-Do tab has been expanded, and some functions have been added.

Here you can, for example, see a detailed view of the approval requests. You can also send and call up a link to the approval details directly, provided you have configured the e-mail notifications in SAP IDM. This saves time and ensures a better user experience.

Assignments

More details can be seen in the assignments. You can also see previous and future assignments. You can also adjust the validity directly and repeat failed assignments with one click!

Optimizations

As part of SAP Fiori 3, we have also adapted our Fiori interface to feature a more modern design. You can see an example here:

With Service Pack 3, it is possible to use the so-called field attributes in the same way as with the Web Dynpro interface.

In addition, the performance of the Fiori app has been significantly improved.

Furthermore, it is possible to additionally restrict the visibility of the displayed entry types (see Figure 3: Person, Role, etc.) using a business role.

This ensures that not every user has access to all entry types. This works in addition to the existing Eclipse standard setting: “Searchable Entry Type.”

You have now received an overview of the most important features and optimizations of the Xiting Fiori UI for SAP IDM SP 3. If you would like to experience the innovations live, we recommend to visit one of our webinars.
