Discover the latest enhancements in <\/span>Xiting<\/span> Central Workflows (XCW) Service Pack 6 \u2013 including a Fiori dashboard, business role<\/span><\/span>, performance <\/span>optimizations<\/span> and a new SOAP web service. In short: <\/span>Xiting<\/span> Central Workflows (XCW) is our standardized workflow solution for Identity & Access Management (IAM) within SAP systems. It delivers best-practice processes for user administration in SAP environments and ensures increased efficiency, <\/span>transparency<\/span> and security in authorization management.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>
<\/span>With SP6 you still have the proven workflows for user creation and modification as well as role assignment and revocation. The Fiori user <\/span>interfaces<\/span> and password self-service remain available; at the same <\/span>time<\/span> we have extended the functionality with several practical features. Many of these new enhancements focus on technical improvements \u201cunder the hood,\u201d further boosting system performance and stability. \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tOur dashboards are primarily designed for administrators to gain an overview of all workflows. In addition, we decided to offer end users an overview of their own requests. Our own approval transaction XCW ME is ideal for this \u2013 now also available in Fiori! The <\/span>tile<\/span> can be authorized and provided in <\/span>the Launchpad<\/span>. Within the <\/span>tile<\/span> you can select the date range and choose the type of request (user change, role\/business <\/span>role<\/span> or combination). You can also set from which perspective workflows are shown (e.g., as approver, user in request, requester, etc.).<\/span>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

With SP6 you can now decide whether you want to use the \u201cUser Owner\u201d approval level or not. Concretely, you can define the source for which user-owner workflows should be triggered. This is ideal for modeling more complex scenarios<\/span> \u2013 <\/span>such as workflows in conjunction with external tools.<\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Admittedly: not a \u201cwow-feature\u201d in the interface \u2013 but with major impact on everyday operations. Some of our clients process up to 1,000 requests per day <\/span>in<\/span> the system; the dashboard <\/span>had<\/span> reached its limits. With <\/span>SP6<\/span> the performance has been significantly improved so that workflows load and process much faster. A solution that <\/span>convinces<\/span>!<\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

With SP5 we introduced business roles in XCW \u2013 containers with cross-system authorizations that are maintained in XCW customizing, making request submission significantly easier. If you assign business roles to a user and include systems where the user does not yet exist, the user will be automatically created in the target system after approval.<\/span>
